European Markets Trade Mixed Mid-Session

The Euro Stoxx 50, representing eurozone blue-chips, showed significant weakness in the most recent available data, down 112.55 points or 2.00% to 5,501.28 at the March 20 close. More recent intraday data suggested the index opened at 5,472.23 and was trading in a wide range between 5,376.81 and 5,683.93, reflecting elevated volatility across European equities.
