European Markets Trade Mixed in Mid-Session

European equity markets presented a divided picture by the time GIFT NIFTY reopened, with German stocks leading gains while London lagged. The DAX climbed 320.17 points or 1.41% to 22,957.08, while France's CAC 40 advanced 102.63 points or 1.33% to 7,846.55. The pan-European STOXX 50 added 1.22% to close at 5,649.33.

The divergence between continental European bourses and the UK benchmark suggested sector-specific drivers were at play, though detailed sector performance data was not available in real-time feeds.

The Euro Stoxx 50 index, representing blue-chip eurozone stocks, traded 68.04 points or 1.22% higher at 5,649.33 by the European close at 18:00 GMT+1.

Session II Outlook

GIFT NIFTY traded at 23,179.50 in early Session II action, holding near the reopening level as the contract digested the European market divergence. Session II runs until 02:45 AM IST, with European markets set to close around 21:00-22:00 IST, which could bring fresh directional cues as liquidity thins in the final hours.
