GIFT NIFTY Opens Session II Flat at 23,768 as European Markets Rally

GIFT NIFTY reopened for its second session at 23,768, posting a narrow gap-up of 21 points or 0.09% from Session I's closing level of 23,747. The futures contract touched an early high of 23,785.50 in the opening candle before settling around 23,773 within the first five minutes of trading at 16:35 IST.

The modest opening gap came despite GIFT NIFTY trading 21 points or 0.09% below the previous day's close of 23,729 on a full-day basis. Session I had logged a day high of 23,788.50 and a low of 23,422, with the contract opening at 23,575 during the morning session at 06:30 IST.

European Markets Advance Into Mid-Session

European bourses were trading firmly higher by the time GIFT NIFTY's Session II commenced, providing supportive global cues. Germany's DAX gained 181.88 points or 0.76% to 24,136.81, while France's CAC 40 added 28.05 points or 0.35% to 8,007.97. London's FTSE 100 rose 60.03 points to 10,325.35, though percentage gains were not detailed in available data.

The broader Euro Stoxx 50 index climbed 52.62 points or 0.91% to 5,861.07 at mid-session close around 21:18 IST (09:18 AM GMT+2).
