GIFT NIFTY reopened for Session II at 23,979.5 at 16:35 IST on September 02, gapping up 13.5 points or 0.06% from Session I's close of 23,966.0. The opening candle spiked to 24,006.0 before settling at 24,001.0, signaling a cautious positive tone despite weakness in European bourses.

The modest gap-up left GIFT NIFTY 14.5 points or 0.06% above the previous day's close of 23,965.0. Session I had traded in a 174-point range between 24,079.0 and 23,905.0 before closing near the lower end. The Session II open reversed some of that late-session drift.

Session II Outlook

GIFT NIFTY is trading at 23,979.5 as Session II unfolds, holding marginally above the gap-up opening level. The contract remains on track for a modest gain versus the previous day's close, though the downward drift in European markets—which will close around 9-10 PM IST—could introduce fresh volatility into the overnight session that runs until 02:45 AM IST.
