Narrow Trading Range Marks Early Session

GIFT NIFTY traded in a narrow 56-point range during the first 75 minutes, reflecting wait-and-see positioning ahead of the cash market open. The index held above the 24,300 mark for most of the session, dipping briefly to 24,296.50 around 00:30 IST before recovering. By 09:15 IST, the index stood at 24,323.50, representing a 41-point gain from the opening print and placing it near the upper end of the early session range.

The modest opening gap suggests traders are taking cues from the broader Asian rally while remaining cautious about sustaining momentum. GIFT NIFTY's performance through the morning session will likely hinge on how domestic indices respond to the overnight strength in Japan and Hong Kong, as well as any corporate or macroeconomic developments that emerge during Indian trading hours.
